Simple, Sophisticated, Social & Stylish: Sivilised Suppers!

So far we have enjoyed six wonderful dinner events. The very first dinner event was held before we coined the name "Sivilised Supper'. So in effect our first event was "Sivilised Supper Number Zero".

Sivilised Supper Number Zero

was held at NG Art Gallery & Mission Restaurant Bar in May of 2008.  This first PoDE hosted dinner was held on the gallery floor and celebrated the dirty, dangerous and bizarre history of Chippendale with a guided tour through Sordid Tales - A History of Chippendale.

The event included two musical interludes performed by Diana Weston on harpsichord and counter tenor Timothy Chung. After dinner, guests engaged in conversations & tales through a guided conversation with Artists Rex Dupain and Eric Lobbecke. Also joining them was special guest Mistress Scarlett, Madame of the local brothel, The Kastle, which featured in a number of the works on display.

Needless to say the resultant conversation and tales where very colourful to say the least!

Sivilised Supper Number 1

was held in two parts in January, starting at The Winery by Gazebo, in Surry Hills. Much wine was drunk, friendships kindled and fabulous food dined upon! Following this, guests where whisked via organised fruity vehicles across to the Seymour Centre, for the late night showing of The Slutcracker. This event was part of the Sydney Festival and was a stand up comedian from England.

Sivilised Supper Number 2,

was held on Friday March 26, we landed in the heart of style, in the soft cushions of Emmilou, located just next to the St Margaret's Complex on Bourke Street, Darlinghurst. A wonderful night was had by all! Thanks to Chris, Shane and all the staff there for making us feel special. And special thanks to Tim for so much entertainment that night! ;-)

Some photographic moments from the evening are below.

Sivilised Supper Number 6

was held Friday August 19, during the Frosty Fruits Ski Trip, at Graze Restaurant (Rundells Alpine Lodge), Big Muster Drive, Dinner Plain.

You can see pictures from the event on the Frosty Fruits Ski Trip page here.

Further details on our previous events will be added shortly.
