General Information

  • First off, a reminder about the dress code for the night: Smart Gay Lounge: Black, Gold, and Pink. It's going to be a moderate night temperature wise, so no excuse not to throw on something fitting and fabulous;
  • We will have two (not one but two!) photographers in the room, grabbing a memory or two of the night. If you would rather not be published (or captured) just let them or us know;
  • The event runs from 8pm until 2am and includes all fabulous food and drink, with a cash bar running for additional spirits;
  • Last drinks are called at 1.30am;
  • The fireworks are in two stunning showings: the first at 9pm and the major show at Midnight. Both are performed to synchronised soundtracks;
  • In addition to the pyrotechnic spectacle, entertainment is provided in the musical body of DJ Murray Hood who will be playing for the entire event;
  • The City Of Sydney website has up to date information on what is happening throughout the city that night,  you can access it by clicking here (you can even get the iPhone App!);
  • Video - we are hoping to have the event captured on video. Guests should be aware they may be filmed. Any guests uncomfortable with this should speak with the hosts.

MCA in the Media

Workcover Dismisses Sydney Mueseum Asbestos Fears.

The management of the MCA assure us that there is no issue for us, our guests or in the venue generally. Further the areas of the building that we are accessing have all been in operation for some months, having had their relevant certificates of occupancy issued without concern.

  • Due to the proximity to the harbour, it may get cooller and breezy at night;
  • Be assured that whilst we have uncovered views of the harbour highlights on the balcony, the Harbourside Room itself is completely enclosed and weather proof; Should it rain, we will all be able to be nice and dry inside the room;
