The Museum of Contemporary Art (The MCA) is Australia’s only museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting the work of contemporary artists.
Located on Sydney’s iconic Circular Quay in a striking architectural building, the MCA presents a dynamic program of exhibitions and events that explores the latest international and Australian contemporary art.
Visitors can engage with artists and their ideas through a diverse range of events, including artist talks, live performances, lectures, workshops and youth programs.
The internationally respected and locally loved institution is an intrinsic part of Australia's cultural fabric and has been recently voted Sydney's favourite museum by local residents.

New Venues
Two spectacular venues built on the roof of the existing building, with breathtaking views across Sydney Harbour, have been designed by Sam Marshall to embrace the superb location, provide flexibility to suit client needs and provide a contemporary backdrop for a variety of uses.
By utilising the MCA, Points of Difference Events is able to tap into the professional expertise of the various venue event professionals. This now includes the expertise of freshcatering. Fresh has an excellent reputation for using the best produce, the finest chefs and professional staff.
The redevelopment of the MCA signals a new era for Australia’s only museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting the work of living artists. The new building will cater to the growing audience for contemporary art, with over 580,000 people visiting the galleries in 2010 and 100,000 using MCA venues. The redevelopment will bring the MCA a higher profile, nationally and internationally. It has been specifically designed to improve the visitor experience, create a welcoming environment to showcase contemporary art with the flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of visual artists and fitted with the latest technology. The new rooftop venues will be the first taste of what the new building has to offer.
